Statement From Congresswoman Kathy Hochul On His Deputy Secretary William Corr’s Visit To Western New York

The following is a statement from Congresswoman Kathy Hochul on Department of Health and Human Services Deputy Secretary William Corr’s visit to WNY:

“Today, Health and Human Services Deputy Secretary William Corr was able to see firsthand the cutting edge work being undertaken by the Western New York medical community at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

“With a record of innovation and medical advancements, like last week’s announcement of a cancer vaccine trial, Roswell Park has proven to be at the heart of our region’s medical community.

“Their ability to find funding through public-private partnerships has not only led to breakthroughs in the areas of medical and scientific research, but has done so in a cost-effective manner. 

“Deputy Secretary Corr was able to learn about the advancements underway and the progress made in preventing and curing cancer, as well as how this one facility is boosting the Western New York economy.”
