Amherst Council Member Faces Harassment Allegations
Why does this not surprise many of us? Perhaps this guy should be a one-term councilman!
Amherst Council Member Richard “Jay” Anderson must answer allegations in court that he spit on the grandmother of two of his stepchildren three weeks ago.
Anderson faces a second-degree harassment violation and is expected to appear before City Court Judge Joseph A. Fiorella later this month.

Anderson originally was scheduled to appear in City Court on Jan. 4 but failed to show up, resulting in a bench warrant for his arrest. Anderson said the warrant was later rescinded because the summons for him to appear was not mailed to him until the day before the hearing, and he was unaware of the hearing date.
He is now slated to appear in court before Fiorella on Jan. 28.
Anderson, son of former County Legislator and Assemblyman Richard “Rick” Anderson Sr., was elected to his Town Board seat in November 2009. He will be approaching the end of his first four-year term in December.

I hope this is not true. If found guilty should resign his seat.

Perhaps Amherst “journalists” should wait for a court decision before offering such rosy opinions? Perhaps this story’s writer should inquire about job openings at Fox news? They seem well suited.

This post is only showing what was already reported, it’s not fabricating anything. Mr.Anderson certainly has some explaining to do.

I don’t know if he did it, but he should resign from office because he has been stealing from the residents the day he took office. He hasn’t done anything since he took office; absolutely nothing.
SPITTING ON SOMEONE IS PROBABLY THE MOST WORK HE’S DONE IN 3 YEARS.
