Councilman Anderson To Be On WGRZ TV -2 Sides Monday

Councilmember Anderson will be running for re-election this year to defend his rather undistinguished record on the Amherst Town Board. On Monday, January 28, at 12 noon, he will be on WGRZ TV-2 Sides, which means he would go right there after his court appearance.

This is a call in show so take advantage of the opportunity to welcome him to the campaign and ask him about what he did, or didn’t do, in his term of office.

I am a senior citizen, should I be worried that Mr.Anderson will spit on me too???

This is very bad for Mr. Anderson (should anyone even call him mister now). I think he should not run for office with this on his record. Go away Mr. Anderson.

Come onnn, Martha. You’re being dramatic and ridiculous. Besides, you’re probably a better grandmother than putting your whole family out there for media scrutiny on flimsy charges. Not a very loving, grandmotherly thing to do, especially for the children.

If the charges were so flimsy why didn’t the judge throw out the charge? Fact is Anderson has to be a good boy and obey the protection order for 6months or he’ll face more punitive charges based on his actions towards this poor woman. Let’s remember. She is the victim not Mr.Anderson

Does make one wonder about the character and motivation of someone willing to subject their family to “media” and public scrutiny over a stupid allegation. Makes one wonder too, who, exactly is being harassed.

Frankie, maybe the woman was fearful for her well being, and her grandchildren and wanted something done to protect them from Richard Anderson. I agree with Jill. If the allegations were baseless the judge would have thrown them out and not ordered Anderson to stay away from her. It’s common for abusive males that have their behavior brought to light to feel “victimized” by the negative attention it brings to them. It’s a classic case of narcissistic behavior.

Isn’t anyone aware of the modern, painful, guerilla warfare that ensues with some divorce and child custody battles? What is tragic here, is this very private matter is now being played out in the public arena. There are no winners. The losers are, sadly, the children.

I agree the children in any domestic dispute , this one included are the real victims. I have only heard Richard Anderson talk about how he was victimized. He never once mentioned the childrens feelings or pain , only his own inconvenience. He was more concerned about making self-important statements in the paper about how he looks forward to continue to be a leader in the community. He should talk about showing leadership in his own house. Further indication of his
    Narcissistic personality

Enough of these Andersons! Like father like son. Between them how many arrests do they have in public office ? Are they some kind of privileged characters ? Bee first page story and editorial cheering Town Board on great chicken raising , rat breeding compromise – but nary a peep about a councilman being arrested and being compelled to go to court with a bench warrant…he should be censured…

I was looking forward to his interview on 2 sides today. I didn’t see him, what happened?

It is a coverup – he has friends in high places – we will never know the truth.

What coverup? What truth? He spit or he didn’t? What would you have him say or do about his personal and what should be a private family matter in a contentious divorce-custody battle? Maybe a tearful stint in front of Oprah would satisfy the voyeurs in Amherst.

Shame on who decided to go public with this story.

Grace. The media went public with this. The complaint and order of protection are public documents. Maybe Jay would rather the public remain blind to this. Im glad he was held accountable.

Sandy, it will never come out what really happened and he is not going to come on the television program to tell his side.

Then why did he agree to go on?? What in heaven did he think they were going to talk to him about? I read on another blog he cancelled 5 minutes before he was scheduled to go on. I saw the program Facebook page and it stated he was scheduled??? I guess the public already knows what really happened due to the court decision. The incident took place,if Mr.Anderson stays out of trouble and away from this poor woman, the case THEN will be dismissed, not before. His silence tells the tale.
