Across Erie County, the Tea Party Republicans have begun attacking our Democratic candidates personally and we are tired of it. On November 5th, we have the opportunity to send a message to the Tea Party that enough is enough. But we can’t do that without your support.
Tea Party Republicans want to shut down the government and cut essential services. They cannot be successful if we cast a ballot for candidates that support middle class values.
This message is especially important to our three countywide candidates here in Erie County who, despite a Democratic enrollment advantage, will have difficulty winning if Democrats stay at home on Election Day.
Mark Montour, candidate for Supreme Court Judge, has been a public servant for many years. Montour’s opponent is Republican who has been pushing a Tea Party agenda in the Niagara County Legislature.
Erie County Comptroller candidate, Kevin Gaughan, has a proven record of promoting efficient government. As a private citizen, Kevin has saved taxpayers more than his opponent has as a politician. Republican Stefan Mychajliw, is without the experience necessary to do the job at hand. His tenure in office has been marked by nothing more than partisan bickering and a lack of real results.
Dick Dobson, candidate for Erie County Sheriff, has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement. Republican Sheriff Tim Howard has stated publicly that he will not enforce the Safe Act. It is the responsibility of the sheriff to enforce the law.
Staying home on Election Day can’t be an option. When middle class voters stay home, the Tea Party wins.
Please vote this Tuesday, November 5th for the candidates that support our values. Polls are open from 6 AM to 9 PM. There is only 5 days left and we need your help! To sign up to volunteer, or if you have any questions or need a ride to the polls, please call (716) 853-2511.
