A brawl last month at the Chuck E. Cheese’s on Harlem Road in Amherst has the Town Board taking a closer look at the company’s request for renewal of its game room license.

The board on Wednesday delayed a decision on the renewal so town officials can ask the facility’s management to appear before the board. Council members said they had concerns about safety and security at the location.

A heated argument in April escalated into a physical melee involving about a half-dozen young adults, most of whom appeared to be teenage girls who are seen in a social media video repeatedly pummeling each other and pulling hair.

Town Attorney Stanley Sliwa said the restaurant is currently operating without a license. The town’s building and police departments have recommended approval of the renewal.

    Hmmmm….looks like ChuckECheese will start having to hire security personnel, armed…with pepperoni sticks!!
