Spring Roadwork Began Monday in Amherst

The spring roadwork season began Monday in the Town of Amherst with the milling of four streets, town officials said.

Crews will remove the top layers of asphalt from Stony Creek Drive, Greenboro Court, Carolilly Court and Lehn Springs Drive, said Highway Superintendent Patrick G. Lucey Jr.

They are four of the town’s roads identified as being in the worst condition, and four of up to 25 roads to be improved this year, Lucey said.
