Amherst Senior Center SOFT Reopening

Amherst Senior Center

Exactly what a “SOFT” reopening is, is explained in the September NETWORK newsletter available on the the Town of Amherst website.

An excerpt from this newsletter starts out …

“While New York State coronavirus public-health orders have become less restrictive, the Amherst Center for Senior Services will be softly reopening on Monday, September 21. (THIS DATE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE-Please go to http://www.amherst.ny.us/content/departments.php?dept_id=dept_19 for our most current version).”

For the past few months the Amherst Senior Center was not available for use by its intended demographic population of senior citizens. It made good sense to protect a medically vulnerable group of seniors from the dangers of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you intend to visit the Amherst Senior Center, please read the September NETWORK newsletter first.

  1. Phil says:

Here are some CV testing points.

Neglect coupled with Trump’s personal agenda has not prepared us for what is coming this winter.

We need cheap, at home, spit & read tests yesterday. While PCR testing is the gold standard it is not what is needed. PCR should be a 2nd line test reserved to confirm/deny spit & read tests.

    1. We need to eliminate professional collection of samples.

    2. We need results which do not require an instrument, lab, or professional interpretation.

    3. We need a right here and now test which costs $5 or less and we need them in the millions.

    4. Trying to conduct contact tracing 5 days after a positive PCR test is stupid and wasteful.

Bill Gates made two statements and both are spot on.
“Any test which takes longer than 2 days to provide results should not be reimbursed”
“ The majority of all U.S. tests are completely garbage, wasted.”

The critical situation we will face: Someone shows up at an ER with advanced symptoms and we can’t tell if it’s Flu or CV.

The answer that critical situation: Test them on the spot with a spit & read so that you can either admit them with a positive result or send them home if negative with 5 more spit & read tests so they can retest for the next 5 days.

E25 Bio has a cheap paper strip test which can be manufactured in the millions and it’s ready to go but Trump’s administration won’t clear it. This is a “beautiful” test in that it is an antigen test. It is testing for the spike protein which sits on the outside of the corona virus – no reagents needed to burst the CV cell or penetrate it, no need for antibodies which target the inside parts of the CV cell; accurate, cheap, quick spit sample, quick results with no professional intervention all for $5 per test and it’s makeup is perfect for mass production.

My god, what are we waiting for? Trump is already one of history’s greatest mass murderers.
