Family of Pedestrian Killed on Niagara Falls Boulevard Sues Amherst, Tonawanda

Jennifer Duffin was killed while crossing Niagara Falls Boulevard between Inn Keepers Lane and Willow Ridge Drive. Her family has sued Amherst, the Town of Tonawanda and the driver over her death. 

The family of a woman who was struck and killed last year while crossing Niagara Falls Boulevard has sued Amherst and Tonawanda, contending the towns allowed “unreasonably dangerous” conditions on the roadway to remain in place for years.

The lawsuit was filed July 3 on behalf of Raegan Duffin and Mark Bailey, the children of Jennifer L. Duffin, 41, who was fatally injured early on May 12, 2018, as she crossed the boulevard between Inn Keepers Lane and Willow Ridge Drive.

Michael P. O’Hare Jr., 22, of Rochester, was driving the vehicle that struck Duffin. Both he and Michael P. O’Hare Sr., the vehicle’s registered owner, also are named in the complaint.
