Legal Aid Attorney Named to Amherst Zoning Board of Appeals

The Amherst Town Board on Monday appointed a staff attorney from the Legal Aid Bureau to fill a vacancy on the town’s Zoning Board of Appeals.

Nina C. Potycz, who graduated from the University at Buffalo and its law school, had expressed interest in serving on a board or committee in the town and her legal background made her a compelling candidate for the position, Supervisor Brian J. Kulpa said.

She will serve on the Zoning Board through the end of 2022.

Potycz replaces Alissa Shields, who was appointed to the five-member board in January 2018 but recently resigned her post.

    The news left out another reason she was a good candidate, she is a town Democrat committee member.
    Good job by the tax raising democrat town board, don’t go looking for the most qualified candidate but the one who is a member of your own party, shame on them
