More Than 257 Pounds of Pot Seized at Peace Bridge

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said they seized 257 pounds of marijuana Thursday while inspected a pallet of boxes at the Peace Bridge. 

An inspection of a pallet of boxes at the Peace Bridge Thursday turned up over 257 pounds of marijuana, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials announced Friday.

Suspicious about the contents listed and the total weight of the boxes, CBP officers selected the shipment and found multiple packages of marijuana, with an estimated street value of over $250,000.

No arrests have been made in connection with the seizure, CBP officials said.
