One Way to Quit Smoking Worked For Me But it Might Not Work For You

This is my story of how I quit smoking.

I smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day starting age 12.

In 1979 I knew I had to quit if I wanted to see my sons grow up and to be there to help them. I tried every possible way to quit smoking but I was addicted to the nicotine and I was sure it was going to kill me.

One of my personal friends was a psychiatrist who I met at Canisius College. One night were out having coffee. I asked him if he could help me to quit smoking.

He said he could try something but he wasn’t sure it would work. Dr. Sebastian Fasanello, took me to his medical office on Main St. in the Village of Williamsville. He asked me what my greatest fear was. I said, “Having a heart attack from smoking, being overweight and not exercising as much as I should.”

He said he was going to hypnotize me and put a frighting image in my brain of my heart turning green if I smoked another cigarette. I left his office and try to have a cigarette. Quickly the image of my green  heart appeared in my mind. I became frightened, threw the cigarette to the ground and stepped on it.

I haven’t had a cigarette since 1979, which was 39 years ago.

Thank you Dr. Sibby Fasanello.

Hypnosis is yet another possibility to help you quit smoking.  Do whatever you have to do to QUIT!
